The Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) has expressed its sympathy over the death of UK nurse Jacintha Saldanha.
“The ANF is shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Jacintha, who was part of our global nursing family” ANF Federal Secretary, Lee Thomas, said.
“We hope that all of those involved in this tragedy both here in Australia and in the UK, now receive the appropriate counselling and support throughout this very difficult time.
“On behalf of our members, the ANF expresses its deepest sympathy to Jacintha’s family.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to them.”
The ANF, with over 220,000 members, is the professional and industrial voice for nurses, midwives and assistants in nursing in Australia.
