ANMF expresses thoughts for Dr Helen Haines MP

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has expressed its thoughts and support for Independent Federal Member for Indi Dr Helen Haines, who was struck by a vehicle outside her Wangaratta electorate office.

As a former nurse, midwife and rural health researcher, Dr Haines is a cherished member of the Australian healthcare community and is a strong advocate for the nursing and midwifery professions and regional health services.

Federal Secretary Annie Butler said ANMF members express their thoughts and support for Dr Haines, her family, staff and her local community during this incredibly traumatic time.

The ANMF, with over 356,000 members, is the industrial and professional voice for nurses, midwives and carers in Australia.
