Digital Health

Digital health at the ANMF ensures nurses and midwives lead safe, inclusive and human-centred innovation, strengthening workforce capability, protecting rights and improving access and quality of care.

Back

Digital transformation is reshaping how care is delivered. The ANMF works to ensure nurses and midwives remain at the forefront of this change – informed, confident and protected.

Through the ANMF Digital Health Advisory Committee, we analyse emerging digital health developments, anticipate workforce impacts and advocate nationally for policy settings that both safeguard members and unlock opportunities to strengthen practice and patient care.

We advocate for digital health policy that:

  • Strengthens workforce capability and digital literacy across the professions
  • Embeds governance that protects professional standards, clinical judgement and workplace rights
  • Reduces digital burden and supports member wellbeing
  • Promotes equitable access and inclusion for consumers, ensuring technology improves access to high-quality care
  • Ensures technology enhances, not erodes, the human connection at the heart of nursing and midwifery care
