ANMF Roundtable – Rostering and Parenting: A Juggling Act

Juggling work and parenting responsibilities can be tough. With the added pressure of a roster that changes and shifts scheduled for all hours of the day and night, that juggle is even more difficult.

For nurses, midwives and carers who are parents of childcare and preschool aged children, rosters and irregular hours of work make it almost impossible to access the high quality early learning that gives children the best start and helps set them up for life.

We invite you to join ANMF Federal Secretary Annie Butler for an important discussion about juggling work and life for families of nurses, midwives and carers with young children. You’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas, your experiences and have your say.

Register here to be part of the roundtable on Tuesday 14 February at 7.30pm AEDT.

This roundtable will serve as an important consultation ahead of the Early Years Summit in mid February 2023. The insights will be taken to the Federal Government at the Summit and the consultation will also help the ANMF advocate for better workplaces for parents and more opportunities for caregivers to juggle work and children.
