Homelessness Week 1-7 August 2022

29 July 2022

In Australia there are over 116,000 people experiencing homelessness on any given night. Homelessness Week aims to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness on Australia via national and local community events, including providing information on the importance of housing as a solution and educating communities on how they can make a difference.

Homelessness Week 2022 will be taking place from Monday 1 to Sunday 7 August. The theme for Homelessness Week 2022 is To end homelessness we need a plan.

Find out more about how you can help raise awareness and other ideas and resources to get involved on the Homelessness Australia website.

Everybody's Home

Everybody’s Home is a national campaign to fix the housing crisis. It was launched in 2018 by a coalition of housing, homelessness and welfare organisations to achieve the change needed so everybody has a safe and decent place to live.

The Everybody’s Home platform calls for a plan to end homelessness alongside the call for 500,000 social and affordable housing homes.

Housing affordability affects every Australian. If we don’t act now, nothing will change. We need your help and support to continue to build momentum and public support for the government to fund social housing.

Find out more and join the campaign on the Everybody's Home website.
