Lori-Anne Sharp is a Registered Nurse with over 27 years of nursing experience, much of which was spent working for the Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) across a variety of roles and sites, including clinical and management roles with the RDNS Homeless Persons Program.
Lori-Anne became an active member of the ANMF in 2001 where she took on the role of Job Representative, before joining the Victorian Branch Council in 2004. Across the next 14 years she held the positions on Victorian Branch Council executive and Federal Vice President before being appointed to ANMF Federal Assistant Secretary in 2018. Lori-Anne is also a HESTA trustee director as an employee appointee and sits on the board of APHEDA (Australian people for health, education and development abroad)
Lori-Anne describes herself as a natural leader, approachable and able to connect people together. It’s through this spirit of leadership and collaboration which Lori-Anne hopes to bring people together and build on the union’s reach. In her role, she aims to encourage nurses and midwives to support each other in speaking out against injustices, take on leadership roles within their workplaces and work together to lead change.
