The right to live in peace and access essential humanitarian support like healthcare is a universal right. Yet across the globe, violence, conflict, and war continue to devastate communities and destroy critical infrastructure. Increasingly, healthcare workers, their facilities, and the people they care for are being targeted and placed in constant danger.
The ANMF stands as a voice for global peace and a call to end the violence that threatens our shared humanity.
We believe that upholding peace is not optional—it is the foundation of human dignity, health, and survival. Without peace, humanitarian needs cannot be met. Without safety, healthcare systems cannot function. And without protection, nurses, and health workers on the frontlines cannot deliver life-saving care.
Together, we must speak out, stand in solidarity, and demand an end to violence to ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches all who need it, and that those who provide care are protected and respected.
Join our campaign to stand with frontline nurses and healthcare workers and to call for an immediate ceasefire and lasting peace.
How you can take action:
- Show your support: Sign our letter or write your own personal message to nurses and healthcare workers on the frontline in Gaza.
- Join the movement online: Support our Facebook campaign by sharing posts and adding hashtags #NursesMidwivesforPeace #NotATarget #HumanRights #CeasefireNow to spread the message.
Hear their stories: Read firsthand accounts from Australian nurses who have recently returned from working in Gaza.
Support humanitarian efforts: Volunteer with or donate to the Red Cross to help provide vital aid.

We invite nurses and midwives to sign our letter of support and, if they wish, leave their own personal messages for the nurses and healthcare workers on the frontline. These messages will be sent directly to our colleagues in Gaza through the Red Cross.
