My Health Record and Aged Care
The final report of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety released in February 2021 outlined over 148 recommendations, many of which were directly linked to improving care. The report highlighted the need for the aged care sector to improve digital health connection, including aged care facilities being connected to the My Health Record (MyHR).
The ANMF is working closely with the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) to increase awareness of the MyHR and all it has to offer in the aged care setting to improve care. We have developed a number of education tools to assist ANMF members in their understanding of the MyHR, its benefits and how the facility they work in can be connected. The education tools are available below.
